Known as the MiniStation Extreme and DriveStation Axis Velocity, both external HDDs support a 256-bit AES hardware encryption to protect your important data. The MiniStation Extreme is a durable external HDD that features a unique wrap-around USB cable, a rugged chassis and shock protection bumpers. The DriveStation Axis Velocity is an easy-to-use external HDD that features a high speed 7200RPM hard drive and an optional 256-bit AES hardware encryption. The Buffalo MiniStation Extreme and DriveStation Axis Velocity will be released in October 2011. Available in 500GB and 1TB of storage spaces, the MiniStation Extreme are priced at $94.99 and $129.99. The DriveStation Axis Velocity is available in 1TB($94.99), 2TB($134.99) and 3TB($179.99) models.
