
Ricoh is preparing to launch a new WiFi-enabled rugged digital camera called the
WG-30w. This waterproof, shockproof, crushproof and freezeproof camera sports a
16MP 1/2.3″ Backlit CMOS sensor, a Ricoh 5x optical zoom f/3.5-5.5 lens
(equivalent to 28-140mm in the 35mm format), built-in LEDs, a 2.7-inch 230k-dot
LCD monitor and built-in WiFi connectivity. Other interesting features include
WG Digital Microscope Mode which allows user to capture even the slightest
detail, like pebble in a mountain stream, High-Speed Continuous Shooting: 10fps
and 1080p Full HD video recording at 30fps. The WG-30w will start shipping
around December 15th for $276.95 in Carbon Gray and Flame Orange color options.
