ZTE Releases Star 2 Quad-Core Android 4.4 Smartphone

ZTE-Star-2

Here’s the newest member to ZTE’s quad-core Android 4.4 smartphone line-up, the Star 2. As a successor to the Star 1 that was launched in China earlier this year, this 4G LTE-enabled smartphone comes equipped with a 5.0-inch 1920 x 1080 Full HD OGS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, an Adreno 330 GPU, a 2GB RAM and a 16GB of expandable internal storage. There’s also a 5MP front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture and 88-degree wide-angle lens, a 13MP autofocus rear-facing camera with dual LED flash and f/2.0 aperture, and a 2300mAh battery. Other notable features include the phone’s system-level voice and speech recognition solution, which allows you to unlock the device with your own unique voice tone, make phone calls, open third-party apps, play music, take photos and much more (functional even when the device is offline when there’s no network connection). Running on Android 4.4 KitKat OS with MiFavor 3.0 UI, the Star 2 provides 4G LTE / 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The ZTE Star 2 is now available in China for 2,499 Yuan (about $400) in black and white color options. [GizChina]
